Forensic Pathology Survey

The Virginia Institute of Forensic Science and Medicine (VIFSM) was awarded funds under NIJ Federal Grant #2008-DN-BX-K200 to develop a national model for a Forensic Pathology Fellowship Recruitment Program in an effort to address the shortage of forensic pathologists in the United States.

"From Law to Literature ~ Forensics & Fiction"

Linda Fairstein, former Manhattan Chief Prosecutor, UVA Law School alumni and Chairman Emeritus of Virginia Institute of Forensic Science and Medicine will discuss her internationally best-selling "Alexandria Cooper" novels and the transition of law to literature. Her latest novel, "Hell Gate", will be part of her lecture presentation. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
