Blair Miller, Search and Rescue Professional

Blair Miller is a volunteer firefighter and canine search specialist with the Fairfax County [Virginia] Fire and Rescue Department. He also currently serves as Executive Director of the Northern Virginia Search and Rescue Dogs, a not-for-profit team comprised of area public safety personnel specially trained in canine search. He is also a cadaver dog standards committee member with the Virginia Search and Rescue Council.

Mr. Miller has been directly involved in numerous high-profile events including the recovery of Chandra Levi, the search for remains at the Pentagon following the attacks of September Eleventh, and recovery operations in Indonesia following the aftermath of the 2004 tsunami. He and his dog Thor have been recognized for their outstanding work by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Police Canine Association.
