Methamphetamine Training

The Virginia Institute of Forensic Science and Medicine is offering a 1-day Methamphetamine Basic Investigation course in partnership with the Buchanan County Sheriff's Department and the University of Appalachia College of Pharmacy. The training is designed to assist law enforcement, first responders, prosecutors, community agencies and citizens in the identifications of clandestine methamphetamine laboratories, the prosecution of offenders, and the prevention of methamphetamine drug problems in Southwest Virginia. Registration costs, materials and resources are provided to select applicants, in an effort to enhance the safe and successful response to the escalating methamphetamine threat to the commonwealth.
