The Virginia Institute of Forensic Science and Medicine fulfills the need for forensic training for legal, law enforcement and health professionals. The evolution of scientific testing in the fields of Forensic Biology, Firearms and Toolmarks, Forensic Imaging and Audio Analysis, Latent Prints, and Forensic Pathology has helped teams advance the methods and techniques used in the investigative and adjudication process of violent crime and death investigation.
